Critical Position about Frankenstein

Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein addresses many different positions about the creature, Frankenstein's life. He was born into a world of hatred. I will explain to you that because of Frankenstein's outer appearance he is not able to be "blessed" and/or "loved" by others around him. .
Mary Shelley"s novel states, "(Frankenstein) "disturbed with profane fingers, the tremendous secrets of the human frame"; it is inevitable that he (the creature) be a profane thing. He can not be blessed and loved." on page 249. This short citation proves how the author and those surrounding the creature are focusing on the creature's image instead of what is inside. He is made of the parts it takes to make a human, yet is not human like due to his ugliness. They do not taking the time to get to know the creature, nurture him, or show him how to do the everyday things he needs to do. Rather they make him an alien from the beginning. .
I view Frankenstein's creature like being a small child. It hasn't asked to be brought into this world, and will only take with it what he is given. Instead of nurturing him, they are making him an outcast by failing to treat him judiciously. From day one of the creature's life Victor Frankenstein is ashamed of what he has spent years creating. Before the creature was "alive", Victor focused very intensely on bringing this "being" into existence. He did not focus on how it looked, but rather on giving it all he had. Once he succeeded, he really looked at what he had done in a way he never had before. He had failed to think about the appearance the creature would have and how others would ultimately judge it. Even then he could have given the creature the essential principles that it would have needed to get through life in peace, instead he taught it that is was not loved or blessed in this world. That he was a mistake.
The creature can not be "loved and blessed" because others will not allow themselves to love something so hideous.
