During the time of Jackson's presidency, Jackson is able to demonstrate his strong views on the rights for the common man, sometimes uneducated. Jackson is using his Presidential power to help these people and at the same time take away power from the wealthy. The Jacksonian Democrats are true guardians of the U.S. Constitution because they strive for equality with the common white man, push for equality in economic opportunity by abolishing the Bank of the U.S., and strive for equal and local power for everyone by raising the poor man and taking away from the wealthy man.
The United States Constitution was written in order for the American people to all be given equal rights and opportunities. Jackson, as president, is a true team member of the less opportune men. He states this in his campaign when he runs for the presidential title, later causing him to be elected by the people. Jackson though supporting equal rights and power to everyone, didn't mean he included the women and black fellow Americans. However, he is taking a step in the right direction by striving to produce equal power among all white men.
Jackson recognizes that the only representation in our Government is shown by the upper class of white men. These are not the only people living and doing work for America. Andrew Jackson's Democracy is pushing for these other people's representation. Jackson shows his true colors when he is able to veto 12 proposals under the Constitution, most importantly the veto of the Bank Bill.
The Bank Bill is vetoed on the basis that Jackson sees it harmful to the Nation. He sees the rich and powerful people of the U.S. using their power to try and pass acts that will benefit themselves and not the entire country. When Jackson abolishes the National Bank leaving less power to the federal government, he is able to also take away power from the more affluent men of America as well.
Jackson is able to give back to the less fortunate people here by taking power from the wealthy.
