Being raised Catholic it is hard to understand some of the negative comments. For instance I really don't believe I"m a catholic because of birth. I was taken to church as a child, but as I started to understand the beliefs I could have easily rejected the beliefs of a Christian faith. It is harder to defend the facts that the church used infant baptism even though it is not used in the New Testament. The New Testament is the very basis of the Catholic Church. So for me it is hard to really find where I stand on the issue because I"m stuck in a stale mate.
