The presedential election 2004

To some folks, the presidential election may be just another political decision, but for most it is the biggest decision our country's voters can make. People that just pick a candidate and choose one or choose not to vote at all are making a tragic mistake. By getting to know each candidate, clearly, it can be seen that one stands apart from the rest. John Kerry values what citizens want, but knows what is right and is definitely the most suitable candidate for presidency.
Al Sharpton is certainly a decent candidate. He's a minister who values racial equality, education, and health care rights (Warner). But Americans should just face it; the United States is not yet ready for an African American president and honestly, may never be. Electing Rev. Al Sharpton would be like setting him up for assassination. There would be much more disputing than cheering of congratulation.
Looking into Dennis Kucinich, the first thing realized is that he has been married twice, both of which ended in divorce. If he can't make a correct choice on his wife, can he make correct political choices? If he can't solve irreconcilable differences, can he handle the war? Also, he adopted a pro-choice for abortion earlier this year, yet recently consistently voted against abortion rights in congress (Warner). Obviously, Kucinich may need some time and experience before becoming president, he doesn't seem to be able to make up his mind.
Howard Dean and President Bush have very similar backgrounds (Barshay, 12). But I feel that if Dean is a doctor and is wealthy, what else does he need? Presidency should be left to the candidates who have a desire for politics and really care about the U.S. citizens. Not just publicity and greed. His decision to go into the election just seems like more of a hobby than a passion. George Bush has had his shot at being president and hasn't shown our country much. He has made several bad decisions, such as how U.
