Passions

Religion is a very important part of many lives throughout the United States of America. From viewing the movie, Passions of the Christ, led many races to view this movie differently. Everyone that is old enough to understand anything about religion know about the story of Jesus Christ. This movie helped everyone understand how Jesus Christ was really treated. The Jews mistreated Jesus Christ simply because he was trying to save lives and teach people about God his father. Many African American people can relate to this movie and view it differently from white people simply because of how they were treated back in slavery.              Jewish people did not believe he was a messiah. They accused him of blasphemy against the holy ghost. Everyone failed to realize that he was really God's chosen son. The African Americans were beaten and also hang to death because they were black, and because they looked at a white person a certain way. African American can really understand Jesus Christ's struggle because they experienced the same pains. African Americans also view this differently from white people because once upon a time we could call on no one but Jesus Christ. I feel as if the white people on the other hand really viewed it differently because they have not experienced things that black people have experienced. Black people are closer to God, because white people have always had life the way they wanted it, and black people had to struggle and pray to God for years to make life to were black people can have the same amount of rights as white people. The experiences that white people have had, can not compare to the experiences African Americans had to overcome.
