The ideal weapon

            There is no real use for a weapon such as a sword in modern warfare. Swords have since been gone from warfare since the middle ages. Soldiers of today utilize more lethal weapons such as rifles, which can provide harm at greater distances. When the sword was used as the primary weapon of the middle ages it would only allow for close hand combat. Development of high tech weapons have limited and almost eliminated such warfare as close hand combat. .
             In early times people of the hunters gatherers would utilize tools such as a spears and knives to hunt game on the plains. These people would use stones to produce such tools in order to gather their game for consumption. The discovery of metal and the ability to found metal would result in more efficient, sturdy, and reliable tools. Tools such as the spear and knife would eventually lead the development of the sword. The sword and other tools would be used as weapons to protect against people who tried to take what was not rightfully theirs. History reveals that people never really got along with each other and so fighting amongst them would be a never ending story. During medieval times the sword would be used as the primary weapon of choice in battle. Battle of these times would always be close in.
             Through the development of new technologies and the discovery of gunpowder the use of swords as primary weapons would slowly diminish. New inventions would bring in a new type of weapon for defense. This weapon would be the gun. The gun would be able to fire with the use of gunpowder and a lead ball. This would lead to a higher lethality rate at a further distance. Battles were now being fought at longer ranges.
             As the world progressed so would the use of guns. The primary weapon for soldiers would become the rifle. The rifle has the same concept of the gun except that the round lead balls would become bullets. A bullet consists of a metal jacket that would house gunpowder; a lead round would be used to enclose the jacket thus making it a round.
