Simple Plan--I"m "Addicted"

Simple Plan is one of the greatest bands ever. They cover all the bases, such as problems kids like me face every day, catchy music that a lot of people would appreciate, and a surprisingly large (for a punk band that is) zest for life. In this paper, I will discuss this band and the reasons it is so great in further detail. So sit back, relax, and prepare to get punked!.
First of all, they deal with a lot of problems that a majority of us face every day. Real problems, not like some bands that discuss sexual relations that have no connection with the fans other than "Sex sells". For example, in one song, titled "I"m Just A Kid", the band discusses how a boy in his teens wakes up early to hang out with his friends one weekend only to discover he hasn't any. He mentions staying up the whole night and just hanging out with no one but himself, and ends up being depressed and thinking no one likes him. I don't know about anyone else, but I know I've been there before, and I"m willing to bet that there is at least five others in this class who have as well. Another example is in the song, "Addicted", in which a boy tries to gain forgiveness from his recent ex-girlfriend and plead his case in that he doesn't deserve the breakup, mostly because he misses her and feels awful for driving her to break up with him.
Another thing I really like about them is the catchy tunes. Their background music is some of the best that I have ever heard. It isn't loud and annoying like some bands I have heard called "screamo". It isn't repetitive and stupid like most techno that I have heard. And the best part is that it is soft enough for parents to enjoy--my mom can't get enough of it--yet loud enough for teens to enjoy it as well--my sister is in love with the lead singer. The music lyrics are good too. It's almost like poetry the way that they rhyme it, and yet it's soft enough, and slow enough to be better than that awful rap which I can't stand.
