Lord Byrons full name is George Gordon Noel Byron, he was born on the 22 of January 1788, in London. He died the 19 of April 1824 in Missolonghi, Greece. He was a famous English Romantic poet. Some of his major works are Childe Harold's Pilgrimage and Don Juan. .
At ten he inherited his uncles title and estates. He had a clubfoot and was treated by a senile doctor who tortured him. His mothers attorney rescued him, and took him to London where he was treated by a respectable doctor.
Byron was sent to a school in Dulwich where he felt in love with it. In the summer of 1803 he spent his time at Southwell with his mother. There he courted his distant cousin who grew tired of "that lame boy." He wrote poetry to express his grief, Mary, his cousin, became the symbol of his unattainable love.
Around 1809 Byron fell in love with a married woman, at Malta, and almost fought a duel on her account, from there he traveled to Greece. There he wrote an autobiographical poem, Childe Harold. In 1811 he arrived in London, before he could reach Newstead his mother died. There he published Childe Harolds Pilgrimage. It took the town by storm and captured the heart of Anne Isabella Milbanke. He proposed and they were wed on January 2, 1815. He became in debt from his wife's inheritance. During this time he lived with his publisher. On December 20 Augusta Ada was born. Lady Byron took their daughter to her parents house a month after she was born and informed Byron that she was not coming back.
On February 15, 1824 Byron fell ill. Spring of that year Byron was caught outside during a rainstorm. He was drenched but he hesitated to hurry home. He caught a violent cold which was made worse by the bleeding method the doctors insisted on using. The cold grew worse and Byron fell into a coma where around six o'clock April 19, 1824 Lord Byron passed away.
145 years after Lord Byrons death a memorial was finally placed on the floor of the house he inherited from his Uncle.
