Street Racer

Have you ever been so scared that you didn't know what to do, and you couldn't tell any one what was going on because of the consequences you would face? I have been in a few situations like that. There is nothing like having to outrun police and hide several times a night because of the activities that you participate in. Street racing is an adrenalin rush. Nothing can top the feeling someone has after winning a race. Unfortunately, street racing is illegal, and if you are caught participating in the events you will go to jail and your car will be taken away for good. I have participated in some of these activities, and have been very lucky. .
Cold, windy, rain, fog, lots of police car lights: these are the things I remember from one crazy night of street racing. The night began as usual, Steak "N" Shake followed by the usual meeting spot, but this night began to be different as soon as everyone began to meet up. It was cold and rainy. The meeting spot was an old abandoned parking lot, and rain was not a good thing when you had to stand outside to socialize. Everyone began to leave early. The crew was starting to talk about setting up races in an area where the rain had not yet been. It sounded like a good idea so everyone jumped in there cars and headed out for the road where the races were to take place. The crew began to set up. Walkie-Talkies were passed out to appropriate people, rules were discussed, and racers were paired with their opponents. The races seemed to go on as usual. Pass after pass was made until blue lights were seen in the distance. .
" May I have your license please?" asked the officer. " Have you been drinking tonight?" said the other officer. I"m sure both officers knew how scared I was when they saw how bad I was shaking. I had never gone to jail, and I was hoping that this night was not going to be my first. After handing over our licenses we began to make up a fairly believable story.
