Erin Brokovich

This movie is about, Erin Brockovich is a woman who has been out of the work force for 2-3 years, and is a single mother of three. Following a car accident in which Erin is not at fault, she finds herself even worse off when her attorney fails to land her any kind of settlement. With nowhere else to turn, Erin pleads with her attorney Ed Masry, to hire her at his law firm. It is there, while working, that Erin stumbles upon some medical records placed in real estate files. Confused, she begins to question the connection. She convinces Ed to allow her to investigate, where she discovers a cover-up involving contaminated water in a local community which is causing devastating illnesses among its residents. .
The kind of work area that Erin works in is the Paralegal area, or a law clerk. The fact that Erin Brockovich wasn't a lawyer and didn't have any formal education or experience as a law clerk or a paralegal, is why other law clerks didn't have much confidence in her, but she knew she had skills, and she used them to create a job for herself. A law clerk or a paralegal isn't a lawyer, but is someone who works for them. They help lawyers to gather up information, and they are also like a lawyers personal sectary.
Erin lives a very busy lifestyle, mostly because of her job. She always needs a babysitter to look after her kids, and she is on a very tight budget, and she lives in a pretty old house with a pretty old car. Because of her job, her family was affected, as she was never home and her kids were always looked after by babysitters. And when she met her soon to be boyfriend, he was the one who was always looking after the kids, and after a while he got fed up with it so he decided to leave. So I would say that her family was affected pretty badly.
I would recommend this film to others, because it is a film that the whole family can enjoy, and the bits that I like about it is how Erin showed that she could do the job, and do it better that the lawyers them selves, and it is funny too.
