The love and hate in lovemaking and leaving

"" The unpolished manners of this lover evidently expose the hate that arises from his careless flight in the middle of the night. How the lady feels after sex is an important factor for how she will respond to her lover the next time. The same response of hate is shown in the next lover Shanagon writes about.
An additional example of the same distaste is the lover that is superfluous in his departure. Sei Shanagon descriptively writes about the pointless trifles that this type of lover calls attention to. The superfluous lover "takes care to fasten his cord- and "spend[s] time adjusting his cloak - She retorts with this question: "Does he really think someone may see him at this time of night and criticize him for not being impeccably dressed?- This lover does not take advantage of the opportunity to share time with the lady after both have been sexually fulfilled. He does not allow time to appreciate the pleasure they both participated in. This appreciation enhances satisfaction in the emotional component of their intimate copulation. Instead, he meticulously tends to his needless appearance, which the author states is "quite unnecessary."" This immediate disengagement immediately after sexual union often gives the lady the notion that the man is only interested in her to gratify his lust, and it also breeds animosity and contempt that is "equally disagreeable- to the first example of a bad lover. .
In opposition to these examples, Sei Shanagon writes about the lover that departs with a sweet farewell. She mentions that "a good lover will behave as elegantly at dawn as at any other time."" This lover she describes is sincere and gentle. He is not at all like the previously mentioned inconsiderate, stumbling idiot lovers. This sweet lover "gives a deep sigh, as if to say that the night has not been nearly long enough and that it is agony to leave."" Sometimes some of the most cherished moments come after lovemaking.
