One day a boy was walking through the park. He was enjoying his walk, and of course like any other boy he played on the swings. After he was done swinging on the swings, noticed something in the send. He picked up the object and saw that it was a white metal. The boy had no ides what it was, he was very curious, so he went to a Fabric Company across the street to see if anybody knew what is was. He went inside and asked the manager, the manager was not quite sure what it was, but he said that it was a mental that is rather difficult to fabricate because of its susceptibility to oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen impurities which cause it to become more brittle. He also said that the diffusion of these gasses into the metal. After the boy was done talking to the manger he left. The boy then decided to go home. As he was walking home, he was still curios at what the item he had, actually was. The boy then saw a wise man sitting on the corner, so he decided to ask him if he knew anything about the metal he had. The wise man looked at the metal and started examining it. After about a minute he told the boy that he didn't no what it was, but what he did know was that the metal is used for paint, rubber, and paper. He also told the boy that metal was obtained from minerals. The boy was shocked at what the wise man knew, but he was till disappointed because he didn't know what it was. The boy finally arrived home and decided to ask his parents what the metal was. He asked his mom what it was, and like everybody else she didn't know what it was, but she did remember seeing a picture of it before in a book when she was in school. She said that the metal had three structural types of alloys, Then she went on this big lecture on how the first structure was Alpha, and that in Alpha alloys are on-heat treatable and are generally very weld-able and they have low to medium strength, good notch toughness, reasonably good ductility and possess excellent mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures.
