Starbucks: Behind the Coffee

The Starbucks coffee monopoly has gone to far in the way they have been treating the coffee farmers in Colombia. Starbucks is not only making a huge, corrupt, profit on their coffee but they aren't giving the fair share back to the farmers. The farmers are making dirt wages while the Starbucks cooperation is monopolizing in the farmers helplessness of doing anything about it. Well they aren't going to stand for this anymore. .
Starbucks coffee gives back about 3.5 cents to the farmers for every cup of coffee that is sold. 3.5 cents that's is an insult, the farmers here are making Starbucks millions and millions of dollars in sales a year, and all the thanks they get is a lousy 3.5 cents. Starbucks should take some of their profit and work a way so that farmer and owner both make equal profit because with out the farmers, this is not possible. .
The farmers have tried to retaliate and stand up and raise their prices. Starbucks responded in ruthless way and told them that they don't care because they can just go to another country and do business. Starbucks did this on several occasions. Starbucks could have accepted the price raise as a fair negotiation, I grow the best coffee, and you pay me a few cents extra. I see no problem with this.
Starbucks is paying more for a cup then for the farmers. This is an insult and an embarrassment to the coffee growers. Starbucks charges $3.75 retail for one cup of coffee, and they can't even afford to give the farmers, the guys that make the owners business a possibility, they can't give these guys a measly few more cents. Charge 25 cents more for the coffee and give 10 cents to the farmers. It's better then the 3.5 they"re getting now. .
Starbucks is a disgrace and they have gone way to far in treating these poor farmers the way they do. The huge profit alone is reason to give some of it to the farmers. The people who make this coffee, the best coffee in the world.
