Aussie Icon Faces Death Penalty

Being the owner of the property bordering the Hatta-Kulkyne National Park, I am fully aware of the unsustainable kangaroo populations that have been destroying the pristine of the Hatta-Kulkyne National Park and several other parks like it. While the proposed cull is reasonable, is it really necessary?.
Kangaroo's have been roaming Australia for centuries prior to the arrival of white man. During this time, they have naturally altered to suit their ever-changing environment. Charles Darwin's "Theory of Natural Selection" explains that the surviving kangaroo population is better adapted to their environment then their ancestors. Culling kangaroo's would lead to a break in the natural selection cycle and may even lead to future issues with an unsustainably low kangaroo population.
While culling kangaroos is more ethical that letting them starve, it is not a natural occurrence. This unsustainable kangaroo population is a direct result of tourists feeding kangaroo's. Each year about 100,000 tourists, all of whom feed food pellets to kangaroo's, visit the Hatta-Kulkyne Nation Park. This unnatural food source has resulted in the large kangaroo population. While the culling of kangaroo's will mean they won't starve, it too is unnatural and is bound to cause more problems then it will solve. As you can see, it is much safer just to let Mother Nature take care of herself.
There have been call to develop a fertility control drug, but they will reduce kangaroo populations for many years to come and not only when there is overpopulation. History itself is also against the use of a kangaroo fertility drug, as we can see from the past that all our previous ventures to control animal fertility have turned out badly.
Evidently the only way to restore the Hatta-Kulyne National Park is re-vegetation of mature native flora. Shrubs and other small plant will only become a food source for kangaroos. Trees, which combat salinity and erosion, would be a better alternative.
