Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Harry Potter is a little different than the rest of family he's known throughout his life. Harry is thin, and the only clothes he has to wear are his cousin's old hand me downs, which are 6 sizes too big because Dudley is overweight. Harry wear's glasses that are taped together due to the fact that his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon refuse to spend any money on him whatsoever. Harry's hair is always messy despite any efforts to make it look neat. He also has a lightning bolt scar on his forehead that he is always trying to hide. .
Harry's personality could be described as quiet, apprehensive, lonely, and cast out. He lives with his aunt and uncle because his parents are dead and knows nothing about his parents or their way of life because his aunt and uncle won't answer any questions he my have about his parents. Harry is also bullied by his cousin Dudley until he goes to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He has no friends to speak of until he meets Hagrid, Hemione Granger, and Ron Weasley. .
Harry deals with conflict by a series of unexplainable occurrences. In one instance, his cousin's group of friends were chasing Harry, he tried to hid behind a trash can but then found himself sitting on the chimney of the school's kitchen. Then there is the time that Harry's Aunt Petunia gave Harry a haircut because she is tired of his hair being messy all the time and his hair grew back overnight. And yet again when Harry's aunt was trying to make him wear an ugly sweater and the sweater shrunk to the point that it would fit a doll. Finally, on Dudley's birthday, Harry, Dudley, Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and Dudley's friend Pier went to the zoo. Dudley pushed Harry away from a snake's showcase, the glass somehow vanished, and Dudley wound up inside the snake's case and the snake outside with the crowd.
I believe Harry deals with conflict in a unique way.
