Lack of Falily Structure

For a person who doesn't have a secure family structure, they may not feel secure or a sense of belonging, lack of nurturing, love, need, and they may try to make up for the loss with finding a family substitute. They may feel alienated, left out, rejected, or cut out from the rest of their biological family. A person who does not feel as though they are an important part or play a specific role in their family may try to detach themselves and attach to another family that they are familiar with to compensate the losses with another family. .
A secure family structure is very important in my opinion for a person to be able to grow up and enter society as a young adult with morals, social standards, personal values and views learned early in their childhood. In order for this to occur, the child needs to have a sense of need, love, self worth and nurturing from their natural family.
A person who may feel alienated from the family they were born into may use a friend's family to compensate for the loss of nurturing, love, acceptance, and belonging. These emotions and actions are essential for a person to become a part of society and to act as they should in any social setting.
Without the proper social developmental tools and skills taught and learned in early childhood by their parents or guardians, a young adult could or most likely would be considered as socially dysfunctional which may lead to other social problems such as anxiety disorders. Depending on the amount of trauma endured in childhood, the person may become a menace to society.
