My Mother, My Role Model

            The person who has been the role model in my life is my mother. She has been my teacher, counselor, role model, and friend for most of my life. For me, she is a source of motivation and a reminder of what true love really means. My mother gave up the family she knew in Haiti to come to America to make a better life for my brother and me. She always teaches the importance of a good education. She does almost anything to help when it came to education. Although she does not have a lot of money to give, she helps me out any way she can. Her good character and honesty and generosity make her the type of person everyone can count on in her neighborhood.
             One of the most important roles that my mom plays in my life is that of teacher and counselor. Like most people my age, my mother is the person I can go to for a good lesson in life. She also is the one person who I feel close enough to tell some of my biggest joys and pains. My relationship with my mother is one that I really need in my life. When school is out for a break, I look forward to driving to Miami to sit in the living room with mom and discuss what has been going on in my life. .
             It is clear that the individual who is my role model is my mother. In a world where parents sometimes make you mad, I realize that I could never be where I am today had it not been for the sacrifice and motivation of my mother. I will always respect the influence that she has had on my life, and will take all that she has taught me as a motivation to be all that I can be while reaching my goals. .
