When we see a man walking down the street with a long beard and a scarf covering his head we automatically assume he's going to blow himself up or hijack a plane. We automatically assume a women covered up by clothing is being oppressed by the Islamic religion. And we automatically assume that Jihad is a holy war, meant to cause chaos and bring in Islamic supremacy. All these are assumptions not backed up by any knowledgeable facts.
