Premarital sex

When Christians are often faced with an ethical dilemma, they tend to base their opinions on what the Bible suggests. When the Bible is used to justify any means of behaviour, it usually becomes a moral issue. A main issue at hand in today's society is whether premarital sex is classified as morally right or wrong. The Catholic Church claims that premarital sex is wrong and immoral. Not only does the Catholic Church believe this, so do almost any other Christian faith. .
The Catholic Church feels as though it is best to save sex until marriage. They say that the purpose of sex is to unite a married couple as one loving body. Once a man and woman unite, a spiritual and sexual bond is formed. From this, one can assess that it is important to remain pure. Throughout the Bible, the Lord has declared many times that sexual relations outside of marriage is looked upon as a sin. Christianity also teaches us that lust is a sin. In fact, it is one of the seven deadly sins and it should not be taken lightly according to religious teachings. Lust leads to sex, and if sex is taken lightly then more and more people will begin to have children out of wedlock. Sex is basically meant for mature individuals who are prepared to face any consequences that may lead up to sex. Two of the biggest fears in premarital sex may be sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies. Thus, sex inside of a marriage would implement a more problem free lifestyle. .
On the other hand, there are others who believe that if two people are truly in love, then engaging in sexual intercourse is just a way of proving it to one another. This kind of idea is usually the least common, but the most detrimental. Frequently, teenagers mistake love for infatuation, and these emotions can mislead a couple into having sex under false pretenses.
In final speculation, the Church rejects the idea that sex before marriage is not sinful and justifiable, and that it is only normal and natural.
