"Gold Floats In Magnetized Oxygen"

This article is about the relatively new discovery of being able to levitate objects using magnets. The majority of the research is being performed by Laurence Eaves of Nottingham University. According to Boyle's law (P1 X V1=k), the amount of pressure is directly related to the temperature. This means that, now when the gold (or other magnetic metal) is immersed in the liquid oxygen, the object can be moved back and forth using the forces of the magnets. .
The idea that magnets can be used to pick up these same objects has been expanded upon. It was realized, that if two or more magnets became opposing forces, the object could be suspended in mid-air. This levitation can be expanded upon by making one force slightly greater, which would cause the object to move at a certain speed. .

I believe that this discovery could have a large impact on our future society when combined with other new discoveries and innovations. As of right now, I don't believe it will have much of an effect on daily life. If I was writing the article, I would probably include more information about Boyle's Law, the actual process of levitating the objects, and the overall reactions and opinions of the physicists involved in the project. .
I learned more about buoyancy, different uses of magnetic forces and other forces in general. I"m not totally sure how this discovery will have an impact on our society in the future. I do, however, believe that when coupled with other ideas, these experiments could become very useful.
