This is my cousin's first baby shower and I am planning it. An the first thing that I needed to do was find out my budget and I found out that the budget is $2,5000.00. Then I needed to find out when the date was going to be and we all decided to have it Saturday April 17,2004 in my grandmother's backyard at around 12:00 pm.
Now that I have sent out the invitations I can start planning the games and food that will be at the party. I plan to have my grandma cooking soul food such as collar greens, mashed potatoes, cornbread, ham, macaroni and cheese, And sweet potato pie. My grandmother is also baking a chocolate cake. I will also be buying some vanilla ice cream to go along with the cake. I plan to play a party game where everyone gets a doll and they have to put a diaper on it, and the one who get the diaper on first wins a gift certificate from Wal*Mart.
I also have to rent tables and chairs from this one place called Ranch Catering. On one of the 6" tables I will lay out the food and on the other one I will have the guest sitting and eating. I also have to buy paper plates, cups, forks, spoons, ice, and napkins. I am buying these items form Albertson's. The party favors theme will be baby duckies and these favors I found online at website www.partysolver.com along with baby blue and pink balloons.
So far I think that planning this baby shower has been some what of challenge. Yet I think that I can pull this off and have every thing ready by April 17, 2004. .
