             (Deprivation during early development).

Many times after the long awaited birth of a child, you see people gather around to hold and observe the beautiful (eye of the beholder) newborn. Imagine if this experience didn't happen and the newborn child was neglected in a way, which would leave them deprived from one-on-one human interaction and affection, which is very important to a child's needs. This then might lead up to various problems that could affect the child's life negatively as they become older. Being aware of situations and research involving infants and how they develop is crucial to future generations of parents and their children.
It is important that there is early attachment between infants and their mothers because a mother has ways to protect her child when they are in unfamiliar surroundings. How a mother does this, has a powerful impact on her child's ability to socially function as well as their basic biology. As a mother being the social stimulus there becomes a long lasting impact on the child's psychological development also. An example of what brings on psychological development would be sensory stimulation, which is shown through handling, playing, talking and cuddling to an infant. When types of affection like these do not occur within the earliest development of infants then the tactile stimulation, auditory or visual stimulation can leave severe impact that can cause negative behavior or ambivalence. .
Considerable research between 1937 and 1956 has examined the significance of attachment on later development deflects due to maternal deprivations. For example when describing the physical environment the importance of sensory stimulation for healthy development had previously been emphasized by numerous animal researches.
