The relationships between the main characters in Wuthering H

The relationships between the main characters.

The story of the novel starts and ends in the present, the inner story is told by a narrator. This stands in the centre of the novel. The book is based on human relationships and events which are mostly told by the characters themselves, so they convince us about their reality. We can get to know the various opinions of the characters so we can not decide easily. Sometimes you feel the story very close to you but other times it is far from your personal view. Some parts of the story are confused and improbable. Because of these it is quite difficult to understand the relationship between the characters. Emily Bronte makes it more difficult by using signs, allusions and comparisons instead of direct communication.
Heathcliff is the centre of the novel. He is the dark-haired, dark-skinned gypsy' that Mr. Earnshaw brought home. Things happen because of some action of his. The main story of the book is about the love between Heathcliff and Catherine.
Catherine Earnshaw was born at Wuthering Heights and was raised with her brother Hindley and Heathcliff, an orphan. She is described as saucy and selfish. .
It is a love story, though it is very strange. Heathcliff suddenly gets into the Earnshaw family, but he is always an outsider. After his stepfather's death, only Catherine likes him. They spend their childhood together, they know each other very well. They are always together and do not do anything without the other. Their personalities are so similar that they totally understand each other. It is evident for them to be together: they play, work and think together. They do not think of their separation. The two characters are identified with one another. Their love developed from their friendship and deepens later. .
The language and the characters of that area are unintelligible or if intelligible, repulsive. The natural environment is very bleak as well. Catherine lives among these people.
