             With all this said, we move onto the difference in performance in prop aircraft and jet aircraft. On either jet or prop aircraft the flight controls are the same. The only difference is that jet aircraft controls are more sensitive due to the amount of thrust behind the airplane. Jets also have the advantage of horsepower and can pull more weight with out making the plane bigger or adding more engines. All they need to do is make the jet engine a tiny bit bigger. On prop aircraft if you want to increase the load you need a larger engine or another airplane. This is why jets are used for commercial operations. Prop aircraft provide a mode of transportation and they reach peak efficiency in warm weather. Jets are also used because of the altitude they can reach. As they reach a higher altitude their efficiency and speed rise. Since the air is less dense there is a smoother and more enjoyable ride for the passenger. It seams that the jet outclasses the prop in many circumstances but not all. The turboprop engine is the next best thing when compared to a jet. Turboprops fly just like a normal prop aircraft but their range increases with altitude and so does their speed. All turboprops perform similar to jets because they fly high and fast. However jets still have an advantage over turboprops because they can still pull more load. .
             The four different types of aircraft I will be discussing in the civilian section are a prop aircraft named the Arrow, the turboprop aircraft named the Palates, and a commercial 737 aircraft and a leer jet. The prop aircraft has a maximum engine speed of 130mph and a cruising speed of 115mph. The turboprop aircraft has a maximum engine speed of 375mph and a cruising speed of 300mph. Both of these aircraft are piston driven, the prop plane is effective to anywhere within its rpm limits.
