Cloning is one of the biggest controversial debates in our current life. In order to prevent cloning going to an extreme, many governments or agencies have restricted have experiments about human cloning and gene manipulation. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the policy above. Because we do not permit someone having the experiment like cloning willfully so that we should keep our life and the whole society normal.
The most important reason that people have no doubt to realize that any progress of scientific research has to adjust to the current social level. The number of crazy breakthroughs in scientific research make people nervous. For instance, some scientist planned to do with cloning technology if Hitler could be available in the 1940s or create a new super brilliant Einstein; Some scientist dreamt to melt the glacier and icebergs in Antarctica in order to figure out the fresh water problem. These imaginations sound challenging and attractive. However if a fatal mistake occurs, it will bring us not a development but a hazard and tragedy. .
Second, we can not even comprehend new scientific advance ripely, so we can not put an unknown procedure into practice rashly and largely. Cloning, at present, is experimental and unpredictable with harm. Like the birth of Dolly, the technique with a high failure rate that produced Dolly the sheep needed 277 attempts and just achieve only 1 success (BBC news: religion/ethics/cloning). Cloning might be used to create a "perfect human," or one with above normal strength and sub-normal intelligence. Besides, if cloning is perfected in humans, there would be no genetic need for men. Therefore, people should recognize we have to limit this kind of experiments to our safety.
