I must also be willing to have an open mind to the opinions and beliefs of others, because democracy demands respect for the will of the people, be they rich, poor, weak, powerful, regardless of color, creed, or religious beliefs. These are the elements which will make a democratic society thrive and prosper in perpetuity.
Because democracy is a positive form of reprehensive government, it is my duty to defend democracy in general throughout the entire world. America is a shining example of democracy in action. The entire world community looks towards our democratic process as a glorious blue-print of hope and inspiration. World wide democracy promotes fairness and justice for all members of our human race. With democracy as a country's main form of government, peace and prosperity is assured. With democracy, an individual is allowed to choose whatever path in life they wish to follow. Democracy inspires success. Democracy encourages an individual to be strong, creative, and driven. Democracy provides wealth for all those who peruse it, no matter what their upbringing. Democracy also provides a safety net for the less fortunate in our society, as no one is allowed to be left unheard or neglected. A poor man's voice is as powerful as the wealthiest of our society, therefore democracy breeds equality.
Truth and honesty are the conformity to fact or actuality. In any given situation, everyone's perception of the truth is completely different, so there is never one definite truth to be told. Someone's truth of what happened in a car accident could be different than another's because the angle at which they saw it could have been different. This would cause them to miss certain details, or maybe see some details that the other person missed. A truthful and honest person will never tell a lie and be completely open under any circumstances, even if the truth being told has a potential to cause distress or damage to the person it is being told.
