BOYHOOD FRIENDSHIPS

The best thing about boys" childhood memories is the nature of boyhood friendships. Two worlds join together and make one. They could be either dangerous or creative, but somewhere in those crazy worlds, those boys have a bond and that is friendship. Two examples of boyhood friendships are Passage 1 by Frank Conroy and Passage 2 by William Maxwell.
In Passage 1 by Frank Conroy, there were two boys name Tobey and Frank and they had met on a white coral road. They were different because Tobey knew the area he lived in, inside and out, while Frank was new to the area and the boys" dissimilar upbringing. When they first met, they instantly talked and from there they started their adventure. These boys were always together, so they did everything together like, their first project was their tree house and the ideas of caches of foods and comic books and from this; you could see that the boys wanted to create their own private world. They always rode bikes together and the first time when they confronted the power of nature was when they saw the dead mule, so from there they would lie down and admire the clouds and the ocean and play many childhood games. So even though Tobey and Frank were different, their creative thinking always kept them together and that's what boyhood friendship is all about.
In Passage 2 by William Maxwell, there were two boys named Cletus Smith and William Maxwell (I assume). These two boys met at William's house where Cletus Smith was working on. These two were from different backgrounds because the way the house, William must be rich and Cletus must be poor or middle class. Ever since they met they did everything around the house and they always did something daring like walking on wire like acrobats. Even though they were from different backgrounds, the thing that kept their boyhood friendship together was their taste for danger and that Cletus was always there for him.
