Black Rights and oppression

This article to me was very controversial. I did not agree with a lot of what was said. Yes politics make strange bedfellows as they would say. We all know they will do and say what is going to get the vote most of the time. The good old boys club as it is called in politics is well known. I feel it is unfair to assume all white males, people, feel the same way. There are always good and bad to every issue. While it does seem that Affirmative Action has been given a bad name, I do not know that I agree with the point of this article.
Most people that I know are aware that Affirmative Action is for the white women as well as the people of color. It is said over and over in this article that the white women are ignorant to the fact that Affirmative Action was to help them. That they are told otherwise by the government and their white husbands to help suppress the people of color seems to be a racist statement to me. While it is true that the government will only tell us what we want to hear and what will be beneficial, I feel this is true of many things not just on Affirmative Action.
While the statistics show the numbers as far as job related and white people to the rest of the population, it is not fair, nor is it fair to bash all white people for this situation. Yes it has been a white mans world, but little by little I feel we are trying to change this. I am a single white women and mother who is going to school and trying to make a better life for myself and my three boys. This article is just the opinion of one angry man as far as I can see. Yes, he does state facts and it is wrong, however he takes it to the complete other end. The last paragraph of this article seemed to really bother me. To go as far as to say that this is a personal attack by the white people to make people of color their servants again. That we continue to make them pay taxes to subsidize white privileges.
