Classification of John Deere Farm Equipment

The cotton harvester or, cotton picker, is quite similar to the combine, except it doesn't have interchangeable attachments, it can only harvest cotton. It works the same way, cuts the cotton, strips the cotton from the plant, and stores the cotton and then spits out the plant.
In hay and forage there are bale handlers, choppers, mower conditioners, mowers, pull type forage harvester, self-propelled forage harvester. These are used for chopping up corn or hay. These look like combines but they chop up the whole plant, or silage, and spit it out the back. After that pieces of equipment pick up the silage, the equipment that does that are called rakes, round balers, square balers, and windrowers. First you must go over the silage with a rake or windrower; they flip the silage over into nice fluffy rows so the balers can pick it up. When a square baler picks up the silage it compacts it into a small rectangle and ties string around it to hold it together and then throws it into a wagon that it pulled behind it. A round baler picks up the silage and spins it around with belts into a big cylinder, then it spins the string around it, ties and cuts the string and then dumps it onto the ground from the back.
There are two different kinds of sprayers, self-propelled and pull type. A self-propelled sprayer looks like a big truck with a big water tank in the middle of it. This water tank stores the pesticide, herbicide, fertilizer or whatever the farmer wishes to spray on the field. This works by pumping the liquid through two long booms, a long metal arm, that stick out to the sides and these booms contain little nozzles that mists the field with the liquid. The pull type sprayers work the same way except the must be pulled by a tractor or other vehicle.
In material handling there are telehandlers, loaders and backhoes. A telehandler is a small tractor with a long boom that that has a bucket, a set of forks, or a clam bucket at the end.
