Believe it or not

There comes a time in your life when you believed in something that was likely to be true but in the end it turned out to be opposite. I think all of us can relate to this. I know as kids, you probably used to think Santa Clause and his elves were really real. If you were to leave your tooth under the pillow at night the tooth fairy would come and get it. As we got older, we would realize that all that was just fiction. We also realize that as we got older we would start believing in things that were more serious like religion, politics and so on and so forth. .
One belief that I've always had was that studying didn't pay off. I was so convinced that if I had study for a test, that it wouldn't help me get good grade. In the past I wouldn't even bother to study for most of the tests or quizzes that were given to me. I felt that there wasn't any point in me studying because I believed that if I didn't understand the topic/subject that studying would be pointless. In fact, I would do worse on a test when I did actually take the time to study than the time I didn't. To get by these tests/quizzes, I would either have asked someone to explain the topic/ subject to me or just cheat. In my heart, I knew that cheating was a bad way to pass my tests but that was one of the easy options of getting the grade that I wanted. .
I remember one time I was taking my Chemistry mid-term and I was determined to pass it by using the answers that I had already had for the exam. As I started the exam I had no fear that I was going to get caught. I was watching the teacher's every move and I felt that there was no way that he was going to ever catch me. Like about 15 minutes into the test he came up to me and took my exam away. I was so shock and scared. I thought to myself it's over, I"m dead. I've never felt so scared in my life. I was so afraid that he was going to report me to the assistant principal, call my parents to let them know and give me a failing grade to top it off.
