The Risk of Childhood Obesity

Only some apples were allowed at snack time when I was 7 years old because my mother worried me about being overweight. She controlled serving size, and made me do exercises such as swimming. At that time, as a little child, it was really hard to resist the temptation to eat, and I still remember it. Whenever I remember it, I tell her how hard it was, and say "Apples disgust me!" However, I understand what she did and I see that she was right because I believe that if she had not controlled it, I would be overweight. This was not only my problem, but it also has become a more serious social issue. Recently, over 100 of the 400 children have been clinically obese, but 50% of the parents have not recognized it. Parents should prevent their children's obesity in order to avoid a lifetime of physical and psychological problems. .
Because obese children will have a higher chance of becoming obese adults, parents should control their children's obesity. Child obesity is defined as children who are more than 20 percent above the ideal weight for their particular height and age are considered obese. According to an article; after an obese child reaches six years of age, the probability that obesity has persisted exceeds 50 percent and 70 to 80 percent of obese adolescents will remain so as adults. The presence of obesity in at least one parent increases the risk of persistence in children at every age. Nutritionally, childhood obesity causes an increase the number of fat cells, and adult obesity influences the size of fat cells. According to this theory, if obese children will have obesity in adolescence and adulthood, they will have plenty of big fat cells. For example, if there are 2 people; one person had obesity in childhood, and the other becomes obesity in adulthood. Both people like to have fast food such as a hamburger or a pizza every day, and they always have the same amount. What is going to happen afterward is obvious.
