The world waited in awe as we waited for the clock to strike 12:00 on December 31st 1999. People feared that the world would end, some feared aliens would come, some feared that computers would malfunction and take over the world, and some feared that all of our food and water supplies would die out. No matter what you believed it was true that if you were living on this planet Y2K crossed your mind a few times before that night. Most people now think that Y2K was a big lie that the media formulated to use for advertising, but is that the truth. If there were another explanation it would be on this very piece of paper you are holding now.
The date was February 3rd 1999; a man by the name of Frank Geraldine was comfortably taking a nap from work at home. Frank was a stockbroker and dealt with a lot of stress. His only get away sometimes was sleeping. During his nap a man interrupted his beautiful dream of having a great day of golf with buddies, this man was a tall red looking figure with a huge head. The red figure interrupted by saying, hello Franklin. I don't have much time, I needed to tell you something, it is of great importance and has to be dealt with immediately. Frank replied, who are you and why must you tell me. The figure responded, be quiet! There isn't much time I must be brief. You can call me James. Ok James, what do you want for me,asks Frank.? Frank there is a severe problem; the human race is depending on you. They don't even know it, but at 12:00 on January 1st of 2000 mass destruction will occur. Computers will crash, banks will lose records, lights will go out, people will panic and cause riots. The world as we know it will end.
