Da Vinci, unlike most people had limitless possibilities. Like no man before him, Da Vinci was able to let his curiosity roam free and take his mind to limitless boundaries. .
             Da Vinci is esteemed as one of the cleverest people to have lived on this planet. That is an excessive compliment considering the great minds that have lived during the years. He was a man of many traits. His contributions in areas like art, science, and humanity are still among the most important that a single living being could have put forth. It is remarkable to think how many things a single person can create. Da Vinci was so ahead of his time that everyone thought that he was crazy or had something wrong with him. Only now, do we realize how truly smart and skillful of man Da Vinci was.
             Da Vinci, born on April 15, 1452 is credited with being a master painter, sculptor, architect, musician, engineer, and scientist. Unlike many people, Da Vinci was able to find success in everything he attempted. Not many people can say that, even the most acclaimed people can't say something like that. Da Vinci, at an early age became interested in subjects such as botany, geology, animals, the motion of water, and shadows. His creative mind let him travel to places then unseen to man.
             At the age of 17, Leonardo was apprenticed to Andrea Del Verrochio. During the Renaissance Verrochio was considered a prize painter. Thus, some credit must be given to Verrochio, who taught painting techniques and also many sculpting techniques. Often, Da Vinci would paint portions of Verrochio's paintings. Verrochio sold many wonderful pieces not knowing that Da Vinci had added some key features. It is said that some of Verrochio's paintings included portions of Da Vinci's work. Verrochio taught Da Vinci about soft shadings, and how to conceal edges with shadows.
