             This passage directly represents the rise and downfall of Macbeth. Macbeth's envy lead to the murder of Duncan and the envy of his comrades overcame his ambition and lead to Macbeth's downfall. Macbeth was in control of the actions that charted his path of his downfall but was not in control of the destiny of his downfall. .
             Secondly Macbeth brings about the path of his own destruction with the weight of guilt. Macbeth arises his destiny of death is a dulled exterior that has been forged by the forces of guilt. Macbeth's conscience has been hardened by hallucinations of ghosts of his victims, and mental madness. He is so hardened by his own crimes that he does not feel for the death of his wife or the apprehension of his own death (Act five scene five, line 9 and 50).
             Other influences acted on Macbeth's abnormal actions. Such influential characters range from Lady Macbeth, and the three weird sisters. The letter from Macbeth acted as the three sisters acted on Macbeth. The letter inspired her envy and ambition for the empire (Jameson). Lady Macbeth influenced Macbeth through typical feminine manipulation. Due to her ambition and envy, she lived vicariously through Macbeth and desired to be hailed queen. To achieve he personal desires she questioned Macbeth manhood (Act 1 scene 7, l 35) and even took part in the cover up of the murders (act 2 scene 2 l 52). Her manipulation of Macbeth's decisions caused Macbeth to react towards the predictions of the three sisters in a way that he would not have.
