New England vs. Chesapeak in 1

"Community organizing refers to the entire process of organizing relationships, identifying issues, mobilizing around those issues, and building an enduring organization". (Stoecker and Stall, 1996).
Although New England and the Chesapeake region were both settled largely by the people of English origin, by 1700 the regions had evolved into two distinct societies. The reasons for this distinct development were mostly based on the level of religious idealism, motives of people who came to settle in these colonies, the environment, & area around them, and the source of economy along with their social life.
The first and maybe the most important factor that resulted in two different colonies at the same time period was the motivation of people who migrate to these regions. On one hand, the puritans, who colonized the New England, were very religious. They wanted to create a model society in which there were limits to legitimate commercial behavior, and the religious idealism would turn into a renewed sense of community. They were very strict in their religious beliefs. They considered themselves as spiritual members of Church of England, and created a system of self-governing congregations that completely ignored the authority of Anglican bishops, and was governed by Saints. Yet on the other hand Chesapeake society was based on the personal gain and profit. Unlike New England it was sharply divided between few wealthy planters who dominated a majority consisting of indentured servants, and small but growing numbers of black slaves, and poor white farmers. Basically the people seeking for instant wealth, and gold wanted to come to Chesapeake. This community established the Church of England, and the Anglican vestries governed each parish. Chesapeake community wasn't much strict about their Church and religion.
The second factor, for the different developed societies was the surroundings and area of the colonies because it was the basic way of their prosperous economy.
