Discuss the character of Clyta

The chorus speak of the morals and truths in this play "all will come clear in the next dawns sunlight" , they give poetic and profound explanation without direct implications to Clytaemnestra, they have acquired their knowledge through their years and are now "the weary old men of Argos" but she has inversed this and disregard all of this and will be seen negatively. The audience can no longer have pity on her and would be embroiled in this tangled character whose drive and single-minded attitude takes detaches her grounds for sorrow. .
Upon the arrival of Agamemnon Clytaemnestra's cunning and powers come into fruition. The entrance of Agamemnon is that of an austere soldier, a warrior. He is above others in the literal and metaphorical sense " How rare, men with character to praise a friends success without a trace of envy". Clytaemnestra had already referred to him as the "peoples darling" before, she had given him up and she speaks in deep irony when greeting her husband. Her character causes a dramatic effect when she lures him in "come to me my dearest", this comes across as the most vindictive and predatory move. Effectively she has reversed the roles, she is now reversed the order, she has made him soft (as he was a "hardened soldier") which is an important concept and now she becomes the aggressor. She again speaks with a perfect double meaning "let the red stream flow", already foreseeing and anticipating the future. She now takes a different approach; she is methodical and clinical in sealing Agamemnon's fate. Her husband is vain, he believes that he is the "king of all kings men kneel or die", almost like a god, at first he is not oblivious to offending the gods but as the chorus had said before "persuasion, maddening child of ruin overpowers him- ruin plans it all".
