Kane seems to be unusually .
             larger than everyone in the room. This makes him look superior to everyone else .
             including the audience. .
             As a writer for the Inquirer, he writes about events or happenings that have not .
             happened yet, or things that are not true. Everything he writes, he writes for .
             entertainment and to please the people. This is where the corruption begins. He .
             manipulates people to love him by writing things they want to hear and by writing like .
             this, he thinks that they will love him. In the movie, he says that he wants people to .
             believe what he wants them to believe. The people love his newspaper and his newspaper .
             is soon the number one best seller. As if that's not enough, he hires everyone from the .
             Chicago Tribune. Kane, friends, and colleagues throw a little celebration for his success. .
             A band comes in and starts playing a song and in comes dancing girls marching in. A .
             man and the girls start singing a song dedicated to Kane. This only fuels his thirst for .
             power since his newspaper company is a success.
             His first marriage is to the president's niece, Emily, which fails because he lets his .
             need for power take over. He only married her because being the husband of the .
             president's niece brings much more publicity to him and advantages of great .
             .
             opportunities. His first great opportunity is running for governor. Being successful at .
             opening many newspaper companies is not enough, so, he runs for governor thinking this .
             will make him more powerful, but unfortunately, it doesn't work because newspapers .
             exploit his relationship with Susan Alexander, who becomes his second wife.
             Kane wants power in everything. He wants people to do things his way or it's no .
             way. He wants Susan Alexander to do everything he wants her to do. She doesn't want to .
             sing, but he makes her do it anyways thinking that it will make her happy. She always .
             complains, but he doesn't want to hear it. She says in the movie that he never gives her .
