             Hate Kills Homosexual Man.
Laramie, Wyoming is the former home of "gay hate" crime victim, Matthew Shepard. Young Shepard and his family were lifetime residents of the Laramie, Wyoming and many of the people in the community knew of the Shepard's and knew of Matthew Shepard's homosexuality. .
According to "The Death of Matthew Shepard" by William Edelen, .
"Being a homosexual makes someone a much higher candidate to be a victim of a violent crime, such as; robbery, murder, or assault. Also, homosexuals are 3 times more likely to commit some kind of self indulged injury or suicide upon themselves" (http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/william_edelen/matthewshepard.html). .
According the Secretary of Health under Present Bush:.
"Gay youth are three times more likely to attempt suicide than other young people. Suicide is the leading cause of death among gay and lesbian youth. Gay and Lesbian youth are strongly affected by the hostile elements of society against them. Tens of thousands of others fail at suicide attempts and will go on living lives of quiet, lonely, closeted desperation.".
Many American people have an intense lack of understanding about homosexuals in general. Homosexuals are normal people that are simply attracted or desire members of the same sex. Some people even fear homosexual people, acting like they are mass murderers or some kind of psychiatric patient. The truth about homosexuals is - homosexuals are human beings and they have feelings, desires, and aggression just like all other people. .
Matthew Shepard struggled in life to feel excepted due to what I've previously said about homosexuals being treated like a different race of people that are disregarded by almost all people. Shepard moved from college to college and even took some trips overseas to find more acceptance amongst is peers. However, Shepard returned back to Laramie, Wyoming and returned to his hometown college in 1997.
