William Shakespeare is considered by many to be the greatest playwright of all time. His plays have lasted for centuries and have been read around the world. One of the reasons for his lasting popularly is that he has written dozens of plays and in doing so he has written something that will relate and appeal to everyone. William Shakespeare was born in 1564 on the 23rd of April in Stratford-upon-Avon. William spent a good deal of his life in this town and for most of his life keep a house here even when he was needed in London because of his career. In November of 1582 Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway who was the daughter of a local farmer. Their first child a daughter was born in May of the following year, they named her Susanna. Two years later Anne gave birth to twins and they named them Judith and Hamnet. Over the course of his life Shakespeare wrote some of the world's most famous plays detailing major historical figures such as Julius Caesar and King Richard III. His success as a playwright was so great even in his own time that for a while he wrote for the King of England as one of his official playwrights. Shakespeare died at the age of 52 on April 23rd in1616 and was buried in the Holy Trinity Church on the same day that he was born. .
