Relationship between character development and moral princip

This paper clarifies the relationship between character development and moral principles. Both have a duty and an obligation. Character development enables us to be and to act in ways that develop this potential. Aristotle suggested that a person could improve his or her character by practicing self-discipline, while a good character can be corrupted by repeated.
Moral principles like these focus primarily on people's actions and doings. We apply them by asking what these principles require of us in particular circumstances, Gekko's moral principle is that greed is good, therefore he acts by buying other companies to make money. These centers are designed to examine the implications moral principles have for our lives. How does a person develop virtues? Virtues are developed through learning and through practice. Just as the ability to run a marathon develops through much training and practice, so too does our capacity to be fair, to be courageous, or to be compassionate. .
Virtues are habits. That is, once they are acquired, they become characteristic of a person. Aristotle argues that virtue is something that is practiced and there by learned- it is a habit. For example, in the movie "Wall Street- Gekko was a person who developed the virtue of greed and corporate takeovers, and is often referred to as a money hunger person because he tends to be greedy in all circumstances. Moreover, Gekko who has developed virtues will be naturally disposed to act in ways that are consistent with moral principles. This has clear implications of moral education; Aristotle obviously thinks that you can touch people to be virtuous. .
In reference to character development Gekko finally takes on the eager beaver, Bud fox as his protégé, schooling in the kind of slash-and burn maneuvers that taken him to the top. In this case, Kant would argue that never treats humanity in yourself or other merely as mean, but always at the same time as end.
