Macbeth summary

`Macbeth is a tragedy play based on the real life events, which occurred during the Renaissance Period. The famous author of the play is William Shakespeare. Shakespeare obtained the plot of the play by reading a book by Rachel Holinshed that described the life of Macbeth. Although William Shakespeare used the same names for his characters as the real life individuals who were involved in Macbeth's life, his play is not historically accurate. For instance, the true Macbeth had a rightful claim to King Duncan's throne but Shakespeare main character does not. Moreover, unlike the famous play writer illustrates, Macbeth was quite a successful ruler during is reign over the kingdom. Critics have argued the reason for Shakespeare twisting the plot is because the author wanted to investigate the events of his own time but still wanted to keep the audience interested in viewing the play. Moreover Shakespeare changed the size of the fonts of his text to pay tribute to his king and country. King James, Shakespeare king, loved thrillers because of surviving an assassination attempt. If the King did she the play more than like he would have enjoyed it. Shakespeare not only changed the plot for these reason but also to explore the psychological aspect of Macbeth and not only the historical significance. Critics have stated that the famous play writer represented ambition and greed through his characters. Regardless of the true meaning of why William Shakespeare wrote Macbeth, the play will always remain a classic play. .
The play opens with dreadful weather which is perfect to introduce the first characters the audience sees, the witches. The witches basically meet and agree to meet again shortly. Then as the second seen opens King Duncan of Scotland asked a wounded captain about the battle between Scotland and the Irish invaders. The captain tells his majesty how Macbeth and another fighter named Busquo have been fighting with exreme courage and violence.
