             Beauty has always appeared to possess the same connotative perceptions .
             Although beauty is perceived by different individuals on various distinct levels, the majority of those individuals predominantly view it as a mere characteristic of attractiveness. Even though the immense factor of overrated outer beauty has always been a conflict or an advantage for particular individuals, the scarce amount of us who do not categorize beauty under one criterion will always remain. Moreover, the capability of recognizing a person's outer beauty is much easier than seeing pass appearance, albeit, definitely not as significant as being able to distinguish genuine inner beauty. Both inner and outer beauties play major roles in any time period.
             Outer beauty seems to have quite a strong influence on the first impression an individual may acquire for another. However, what one person finds attractive, another may find revolting. Therefore, what characteristics can be defined as outer beauty if everyone has his or her own perception of attractiveness? The media can definitely display the answer to the previous question. .
             According to the media, outer beauty appears to solely consist of traits such as a small waistline, height, and exceptional facial features. The media is the largest influence on today's individuals that beauty is the most valuable feature a person is capable of having. The media has given off this belief through the usage of attractive people on every magazine cover and through the demeaning tendency of casting appealing actors in movies and/or in television programs. These factors have understandably influenced individuals to live in their own worlds of artificial beauty because it, the media, is essentially consisted of the exclusive importance of being attractive.
             Everyone, or what seems like everyone, desires to look and hence feel beautiful. Referring to the novel Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, every character, in essence, who played an even semi-significant role in the novel allowed the characteristic of outer beauty to revolve their entire love life.
