Everyone has a childhood, whether he likes it or not.
Our childhood can be good or bad, and it is not for us to decide. Some people's childhood like mine for example, could be one which has gone through many torments and sufferings, and this could have a very devastating effect on the persons life later, as he may be mentally scarred for the rest of his life.
Others could lead a much peaceful life with kind and loving family with siblings, but no doubt most of us would have to suffer the torment of our parents. Most of the peoples childhood are spent mostly with their families like parents or siblings. No doubt that some parents could nag a lot, while others could be kind and loving and provide the child with everything he or she needs. This is why we can conclude that most of our childhood are mainly affected by our family. Therefore, I disagree to the notion that childhood is anything but the best time of your life.
As I have mentioned, most of our childhood be it good or bad, is affected by our family, and the course of our childhood depends on the attitude and actions of our family towards us. However, not everyone has a bad childhood that is not the best time of their lives. Most of the people have fun, enjoyable and memorable childhoods. Basically, the best age to be, I think, is our childhood, because we mostly enjoy every moment we are living then. In childhood, everything could be bright and fun for us, and we don't worry about anything unlike adulthood, where we start to worry about things like financial problems, death and love etc. We just care about homework, eating, sleeping well, and not getting in trouble. This is what a child's life is about, except when they are sick.

Being a child is the greatest age to be, because it is beautiful in childhood, as you see everything from an innocent point of view. The childhood is like a dream that will one day end, and you will realize that you are no longer living the life that a child lives.
