Thisbe's Tragic Story

This is a rewritten story of the myth of pyramus and thisbe.
We lived next door to each other, in an old western town in West Texas. The man I loved, Pyramus, was the most handsome man in the entire west. We loved each other so much; only death could separate us. Our families however, were enemies. They had forbidden us to see each other. Even though we had feuding families, and they had prohibited us from seeing each other, we could not be kept apart. We talked every night, secretly, after our parents had fallen asleep. Finally, a day came when we could not take it anymore; we had to see each other. Pyramus whispered, "Thisbe, we must see each other, tomorrow night, meet me at the old abandoned shed, at midnight, by the mulberry tree.
I answered, "Okay Pyramus, I will be there, goodnight.".
As the next day went by, I could not wait to see Pyramus, I couldn't stop thinking about him. When the time came for me to go see Pyramus, I snuck outside, and walked quietly to the old shed.
As I walked along the path, I admired the midnight sky. Gazing at the dazzling stars that looked like diamonds. It was a beautiful, clear night. I could hear the crickets chirping in the grass. I noticed the wind whispering through the trees.
When I was almost to our meeting place, I was to busy looking at the sky to notice a creepy man walking behind me. The man, I later found out was a robber. He snuck up behind me and wrapped his hand around my mouth so I could not scream. The man had a knife in his other hand and threatened me with it. He told me to give him all of my money. I struggled to get away from him and finally got away from his painful grip. I ran as fast as I could into the woods, loosing my shoe as I ran. While chasing me, the robber cut his leg with the knife and stopped to nurse his wound. When I realized he was not chasing me, I stopped and caught my breath. I thought to myself, " I have to go back to meet Pyramus, or else he will think I had stood him up.
