The unknowingly I asked him, "is anyone other than that was on the plane dead?"he responded "yeah I think so" and walked away. God how terrible, I kept thinking to myself. The weird thing was that at first the plane crash really didn't affect me that much. I just kept thinking plane crashes happen all the time, its sad but things do go wrong. .
After class I got in my car and started driving home the same way I do everyday, but something seemed different. The town, which is usually lively, with people walking on the streets, cars flying down the streets, and the occasional police siren going off, seemed like a ghost town. The world seemed to be on permanent mute there were no children yelling, dogs barking, or even a bird chirping. As I pulled up to the stop sign that I stop at everyday, in which in only my two months of school I've seen five accidents, things were quite different. People where actually waving others ahead. When I eventually got home I ran down to my basement to watch television. I found out though that it was already on and that my little brother, who was home sick, was sitting and crying on the couch. Without saying anything I looked up at the television and saw it for the first time. Every American, I believe, will remember forever where he or she was when the first time they saw the plane crash. My moth dropped and my legs became shaky, I sat down just as the tears began leaving my eyes. What I thought was one little plane crash, was actually two planes flown into the World Trade center buildings. It looked like a movie, but I knew this was no movie at all, it was Good Morning America. I turned to my brother and gave him a hug, I tried hard to fight back my tears, thinking I had to be stronger because I"m the big brother. I knew though , that America was crying with me. Later into the evening I called up a couple of my friends and decided we should go and give blood.
