Diversity Seats

I think you are misinformed of the ruling of the JC. The ruling was that the Senate receives the opportunity to vote on a special election for the referendum. It has been acpted by Bob misjudging this ruling and by interperting the constitution he over step the boundraise as VP. Therefore, my opportunity to raise this issue was never given. Second the reason that alot of us are pissed is for the fact that if us diversity senators did not show up to the meeting there would not have been a meeting since there was not enough for a quorum. In good faith we showed up to express the concerns that we have been hearing from numerous members of the student body. I would think as the creator of the petition that you would want to be the first to investigate these allegations to ensure the credibility of the petition, but since you and your friends in the senate decided to not even have a serious discussion about these troubling rumors I am wondering if you are doing this now as a political victory or to help contribute to the school. I gave you a chance to listen and investigate these claims together but as a result of Monday's meeting in which i was not even listened to i think the AAS sent a clear message. Just to inform you that even though you think people were not coerced we have found two people who are now willing to come fowared and speak. If the JC finds these people to be credible then your petition is thrown out and your credibility and the credibility of your cause will take a major hit. My only goal in all of this is to make sure that the proper process was taken and not to destroy the petition. You have left me with no choice. I find it funny that this sunday you and your AAS allies told the minority students that the AAS is willing to listen to our complaints, but the first opportunity to do so and you guys got up and ran. What is the true message? Im sick of all this lets just see how all this plays out now.
