             Thesis: There are hundreds of reels to choose from so keep these facts in mind.
             There are several types of reels on the market.
             II. The most basic reel is the closed faced reel.
             III. The second type is the spinning reel.
             IV. The most advanced is the open-faced reel.
             V. When the angler decides to purchase a reel do so depending on how it will be used.
             There are several types of reels on the market. There are many types that an angler might be limited to depending on their experience. There are three main types of reels that have numerous manufacturers making different styles in each category. The reel that is chosen should fit the needs. .
             The most basic reel is the closed-faced reel. Any first timer to the well-advanced angler can use this reel. This reel can be used with live bait or the artificial lures. However, the reel is mostly used for live bait. These reels range from very small that have the smaller lines like 6-8lb test to the largest, which have the 25-50lb tests. These reels do not hold very much line though. These reels are the easiest to operate. It is also the least likely to have those annoying backlashes that come with the advanced reel. These reels have a button on the bottom of them that is pushed as the cast is made and then released when the cast is finished. This is the least expensive of the reels and best for the young angler.
             The second type reel is the spinning reel. This reel is a small step up from the closed-faced reel. This reel can handle most line diameters, but works better if the angler uses the smallest possible for the task at hand. This reel can be used for any type of fishing, from ice to salt to fresh water. The reel has all the models to do the job right. This is a simple reel that has no limits on the ways it can be used. The reel hangs down on the rod with the rod upside down as well. This is different and takes time for some anglers to get use to. After many trips to the lake and many days practicing the reel will become a useful tool to the angler.
