Louisiana Living

This whole story starts off with packing and in the same matter ends with packing. The time between is what I will tell you all about. Starting with the drive there, to getting to know everybody around me, Playstation 2 NCAA football tournaments, and the nights at the bar. First, I got to explain why I ended up there and then I can let you know all the juicy stuff in the middle.
It all started out as just a normal day. I was sitting on my butt doing nothing in my apartment. When I decided to go over to Matt Bass, my best friend's house. We were sitting around just toying with his truck. When out of nowhere he asked why I wasn't going to school with him in Louisiana and playing football. I had a spark in my head and decided why the hell not. So the wheels got to turning. I spent the next two weeks calling around and getting my transcripts from high school and the other college I attended sent over to the University of Louisiana at Monroe, or ULM. Shortly after they received all my transcripts they phoned me and let me know that I was accepted. So, now that you know why I ended up in Louisiana, you can get the rest of the story.
So, I am accepted and my brain starts to turn, it will be the farthest from home that I have ever been, I will be living in the dorms, I won't know anybody except Matt but, I was willing to risk it to add this experience to my life. I started packing all my stuff a couple days before I hit the road. It feels like I packed everything that I owned, which still doesn't feel like enough. When I finally get to loading it up in my truck it feels like I am taking to much stuff with me. On the other hand I would rather have to much then not enough. I say all my goodbyes to my mom and dad. Now off I go on my trip to Louisiana, which happens to be a ten hour trip, at least that is what the directions say on them. The trip isn't all that bad, besides the fact that I am sitting in the same spot for three to four hours at a time.
