Essential Needs

Nothing is greater than the world of professional sports. What red-blooded American male has not stood in awe of the great ones? To watch Michael Jordan on a fast break topping it off with a mind blowing slam dunk, Barry Sanders breaking though what would seem like and endless supply of defenders to make an eighty (80) yard touchdown run or Mark McGuire with his 75 homeruns in one season, few can deny the greatness of these athletes. This is a craft that they had to be taught, natural ability does play into it, but they had to be taught the fundamentals of the game. They did not wake up one morning and decide to play professional sports, it was instilled in them at a young age, in little league sports. It is here, at a young age that children will learn the things that are essential for a successful life. Things like hand-to-eye coordination, teamwork and physical conditioning are what a growing child should be taught rather than haw to play a video game. Organized Little League sports are essential for the following three (3) reasons; teamwork, hand to eye coordination and physical conditioning.
Few have ever made it in this world without the help of others, or working as team with a group. They had to work hand and hand with people on different levels, such as banks and co-employees. The same is true of any great sports dynasty. The Dallas Cowboys, The Las Angeles Lakers and the New York Yankees all worked together as a team to achieve greatness. This starts at the top with the owner right down to the most insignificant player on the team. Troy Aikman, as great as he was, could not have won three (3) Super Bowl championships in four (4) without the help of other players on his team. This is not something he learned after joining the Cowboys, this is what he was taught playing Little League sports in his home town of Hennryettea Oklahoma. Any player worth his salt will think of his team first, and thyself second, and little league coaches should be teaching this first, before winning.
