The Mt. Baker lodge officially opened July 14, 1937. Soon after the opening of this lodge, the lodge began a new period that produced happiness from the mountain. In addition, skiers began to arrive. Unfortunately, on August 5, 1931 the most tragic thing happened, the lodge burnt down.
